WHY BE A MEMBER OF THE PAA UK & IRELAND?
The PAA organises its own events throughout the year & helps promote other armwrestling competitions. We're non profit making which means we invest anything we make to further Armwrestling in line with our constitutional aims & objectives. It's run on volunteers & goodwill & there are costs to make it all happen. Some people only wish to armwrestle & are not interested in joining the association - attending a PAA event requires an entry fee & for this you are considered a day member. If you wish to contribute more, an associate membership gives a discounted entry fee to all tournaments & entry into the members draw. Cormack English was the winner of the 2023 & will get free entry into all PAA UK & IRELAND regional & National tournaments in 2024.
2024 tournament fees will be £40. There is no extra fee to enter an extra weight class - so if you can make it there & are under the weight category pull as many times as you want. Obviously the nationals are to determine the champions of each class so unless you are also in the Masters 50+ (PRO NATIONALS ONLY), you have to choose which class you are in if you would normally pull in classes above as well as your own weight category.
Those paying a membership fee get tournament entry for £25, so a road warrior attending all sixr regionals & either novice or pro nationals will pay
£175 for all the entries instead of £280.
Associate membership is £30, so a potential saving of £75. Members are in the draw for free 2024 entry to all PAA events as well, which could be worth £280.
Full membership is £40. Like an associate it gives you the tournament discount, puts you in the draw & the extra tenner gives voting rights at the annual AGM in January where decisions are made. It's a bigger contribution & commitment which doesn't suit everyone. A full member has to be an associate member for a year first. All memberships are subject to approval by the executive committee - please read the constitution.
Memberships run from end of January (after the AGM) to the next AGM when fees are again due. Thank you for your support. Carrry on below for details of how to join.
Secure payment can be made by to the PAA via the Paypal button below.
£30 for associate members
£40 for full members (after 1 year of associate membership)
Alternatively payment can be made at a PAA event to the Treasurer Alan Milne, President or one of the Vice Presidents. See about us to find out who they are.
Payment of a membership fee & entry into a competition signifies acceptance of the constitution & rules of participation.
PAA UK & IRELAND is a non profit organisation, so please be friendly & mark your payment Friends, rather than for business which will cost us some of the fee donated.
